Raku is a pottery process that has been around since ancient times. Pottery is fired in an open flame at 1800 degrees and then smothered to allow the smoke to infuse the pot with a beautiful black crackle of carbon as the glaze cracks.
Because the pot is brought to temperature and cooled very quickly, many Raku pots don't survive the firing technique, but the results are amazing!
No two pots will ever be alike. If you see one that you love, buy it now!
NOTE: Pot shown in photo is the actual pot that you will receive.
NOT FOOD SAFE: Raku items are for use as display items ONLY (as pencil holders, potpourri bowls, etc.)
